Vizcaya Campus (Bilbao)

The Vizcaya campus is not located in a single place but is made up of several buildings in different parts of Bilbao and its surroundings. However, the most important locations are:

• University City of Lejona-Erandio: in the city centre, there are several buildings where UPV classes are taught. Among the faculties and schools you'll find here are the Bilbao School of Engineering, the School of Business Studies, the Bilbao School of Engineering, and the Faculty of Economics and Business.

Álava Campus (Vitoria-Gasteiz)

Best neighbourhoods to live in near the UPV / EHU

We recommend that you consider the following neighbourhoods according to the UPV campus you are going to go to:

Bilbao Centre

Many students who attend EHU prefer to find accommodation in Bilbao due to its services and leisure and cultural offerings. The centre and Vizcaya Campus are connected by a metro and bus line, so you can attend classes without giving up living in Bilbao, a city full of life and gastronomy.

San Cristóbal, Ensanche and Desamparados (Vitoria - Gasteiz)

The Alava Campus of EHU is located in San Cristóbal, making it a perfect neighbourhood to live in if you have classes there. The neighbourhoods of Ensanche and Desamparados are between San Cristóbal and the centre of Vitoria, so they are ideal areas to be close to UPV / EHU and the most popular leisure spots in the Basque capital.

Ibaeta and Antiguo (San Sebastián)

The buildings of the Guipúzcoa Campus of EHU are spread between these two neighbourhoods, so living in them will allow you to be very close to the campus. Ibaeta is usually a quieter and more residential area. On the other hand, Antiguo offers more dining options and has the Ondarreta Beach and faster communication with the centre of San Sebastián.

Student residences near the UPV / EHU

There are several university residences located near each UPV campus. The cost of residences in the three cities is similar. Depending on the type of room chosen and the length of stay, prices range from €300 to €750 per month.

Erasmus in the University of the Basque Country

We'll tell you some details you need to keep in mind:

• At the language courses office of the university, you can choose between Spanish and Basque language courses. Some of them are taught before classes start and others during the semester, so you can choose the one that best suits your preferences.

• You will find cafés and restaurants on the different campuses of the institution, where you can taste local food at an affordable price. Some of the dishes you will find are "Pochas with Vegetables" and "Guiarra Breaded with Peppers", for example.
